Elizabeth McGovern- Americans vs the British

Elizabeth McGovern behind-the-scenes of Season 2 from the looks of the costume

On Masterpiece Online, one may stumble upon a short interview with actress Elizabeth McGovern titled- Americans verses British: Do You See a Difference?  McGovern discusses how the American way of thought is to immediately say what one is thinking while the British thought process means that one will never come right out and say what is on one's mind, but one will constantly imply it.  Her beautiful voice and opinions of this topic, not only from her point of view but from her character Cora's as well, are interesting to view.           After you've watched it once, go back and watch it again with this information in mind.  Elizabeth McGovern was born in Evanston, Illinois.  She lived in Los Angeles and trained at Julliard (in New York) before moving to her current home of West London in 1992.  Interesting, non?  Many thanks to IMDB for the information.
